I made it! I survived Russia! I survived Finnish Lapland!
And my camera too! Not like the Sony DSC-R1 that passed away in Irish storms!

As you might guess, I took many pictures, so many...I will submit a bunch of them, and I hope you'll enjoy!

In a few hours we will say bybye to 2008 forever, and welcome 2009 in our lives. For some people, it's a chance to start things over, on a more stable base, for some others, it won't change anything... I think I'm halfway between these 2 groups... Yeah, for 2009, I've decided to even more dedicate my life to my leitmotiv : "life in music, life in pictures".

New camera, new way of thinking, new way of shooting, trying to mix classical framing to some funky techniques, yes I think this is gonna be a great year, during which I'll make sure to submit a lot more pictures, hoping you'll enjoy..

Ok here we go again, I'm back from a Parisian week-end, shooting live videos for a "Metal Ladies" festival, it was really worth the 4 hrs night drive under snowfalls!
And when I got back home, my new DSLR was here, in his box, on my bedroom floor. Still not the Eos 5D MarkII I'm dreamin' of, but this little fellow is already my best friend!

So here we are, the team is back, the digital cam with my brand new Pentax K200d and a bunch of cool optics, and the Mamiya C330 with even cooler optics, and a bag full of the new Kodak Portra VC 400 (and some AMAZING 3200asa Ilford Delta B&W films).

YES! It's gonna be great, I am so here, I am so motivated, I feel so right! Hope that the next coming shots will be good enough!

So here I am, a new LARGE flat (with 2 great flatmates), a new step in my studies as I've started my PhD 3 on october 1st, a new additional job as a physics practical work teacher (and it feels great to teach how lenses and polarimeters work!), at the end of the month a new paycheck which will finally give me the opportunity to make my camera repaired and buy a new pentax k200d.

Well, eventhough I don't have much time these days to update my gallery (and hell there are lots of pictures I'd like to submit!!), it just feels good to enter a new era full of "positiveness"!

That's it! I'm back from Ireland, after a walk-and-(mostly)-bus-trip, and yeah, this countru is definitely awesome!

Huge landscapes, great people, lovely beer so cheap and music everywhere! But in addition to all these you must never, NEVER forget the rain. This wet fellow, which I actually love when it gives me great sensations, like standing on the rocky shore by the Atlantic ocean under a rain storm!

Problem is...my camera didn't like it my way. My so faithful DSC-R1 lost against the strength of rain. And then, my EVF went down.. I definitely should have been more careful with al lthat water, protect the cam, but I often went on shooting sessions under the rain in France or Switzerland, why wouldn't it be the same in Eire!? Well, I guess it's a question of quantity, and now I have no other choice than using the LCD screen to take my shots...it's just a shame.

But well, anyway, this trip was great, and if my shots won't be the best this time, I have seen and lived so many great stuff!

Well, now it's time to try to make my LCDscreen-shot pictures turn on the best I can!
